Elvish Yadav Breaks Silence On Controversies And Trolls

From winning Bigg Boss OTT 2 to becoming a gang leader on MTV Roadies XX, Elvish Yadav’s time in the spotlight has been full of ups and downs. He has faced serious challenges like getting arrested for allegedly using snake venom for parties, being accused of attempted murder by another creator, and having a public fight with YouTuber Abhishek Malhan (Fukra Insaan).

But in an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, Elvish opened up about how all these controversies have affected him and how he’s trying to stay calm despite the chaos.

One of his most talked about pivots was his debut as a gang leader on MTV Roadies XX, making him the first YouTuber to take on the role. While some people were surprised, many others didn’t like it. Netizens criticized the choice questioning whether Elvish “fit” for the show.

“Koi pressure nahi (No pressure at all),” he said calmly, brushing off the online trolling. “Mai padh rha tha yeh sab chize. Log keh rahe the, ‘Isko kaise bana diya?’ ‘Yeh format iske liye nahi bana.’ ‘Yeh sahi nahi hai kisi aur ko leke aate hai.’ But mai kuch nahi bola. Abhi bhi mai kuch nahi bolunga. (I was reading all these things. People were saying, ‘How did they make him a part of this?’ ‘This format isn’t meant for him.’ ‘This isn’t right, they should’ve brought someone else.’ But I didn’t say anything back then. Even now, I won’t say anything).”

Opening up further, Elvish revealed how the emotional toll of false allegations had pushed him into moments of self doubt, “Roj sochta hoon, jo cheez kari nahi, woh cheez jhelni padd rahi hai. Sochta hoon itna famous hona gunaah ho gaya hai kya? Mere se bhi famous log hain, woh toh khush hain. Mere saath hi aisa kyu hai? (Every day I think why am I suffering for something I didn’t even do? Has fame become a punishment? There are others more famous than me, and they’re fine. Why only me?)”

He further explained how his family has felt the impact too, “Mere parivaar ne hamesha mera saath diya hai, lekin meri family usoolon wali hai. Unka maanna hai ki agar unka beta galat ho, toh woh uske saath kabhi nahi khade honge. Aur woh mere saath khade hain kyunki main galat nahi hoon. Thoda dukh hota hai jab aise jhoothe ilzaam lagaye jaate hain (My family has stood by me, but they have values, if I was wrong, they would never support me. The fact that they still do that says it all. But it hurts when people throw false allegations.)”

Recently, Kushal Tanwar aka Gullu from Elvish Yadav’s gang won the reality show ‘MTV Roadies XX (Double Cross) The competition among the finalists was intense but Kushal was able to beat them all. He also took home a Karizma XMR bike, and Rs 10 lakh prize money.
