‘Suffered The Same Moments’ Virat Kohli Pens Heartfelt Ode To Anushka Sharma Following RCB’s Historic IPL Win After 18 Years

It’s a historic and heartwarming moment for Royal Challengers Bangalore fans as RCB has finally clinched the IPL trophy after an 18 year long wait. 

After RCB’s historic win, Virat Kohli made an emotional tribute to Anushka on and off the field. At the post match presentation, he said, “It’s been 11 years for her as well, you know. Relentlessly coming to games, watching tough games, watching us just miss out. What your life partner does for you to be able to play, and the sacrifices, and the commitment, and just backing you through thick and thin, is something you can’t explain in words. Only when you play professionally, you understand the amount of things that go on behind the scenes, and what they go through as well.”

Later, Kohli took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt message alongside a photo of their victory, “I’ve seen it for 18 years and she’s seen it for 11. Suffered the same moments since 2014 and celebrated every close win and the madness of our supporters at the Chinnaswamy. We’re both equally relieved and since shes a bangalore girl too this is far more special for her. Together all the way through ❤️❤️❤️ @anushkasharma.”

Anushka, who has been a constant through RCB’s ups and downs, shared heartwarming videos from the team’s victory parade through Bengaluru. In the videos, Virat Kohli is seen holding the IPL trophy at the front seat on a bus, while Anushka sits just behind him, capturing the crowd that lined the streets to welcome their champions. In one clip, she captioned, “Namma Bengaluru current scenes.” In another, showing thousands of fans waving and cheering, she wrote: “These happy faces have waited for this very lovingly and patiently.”

PBKS played exceptionally well in the finals and restricted RCB at the target of 190 but the RCB bowlers outshined everyone with Krunal Pandya, Yash Dayal and Bhuvneshwar Kumar taking the charge at the right time.
