Guess Who’s The Second Highest Paid Actor After Akshay Kumar!

Housefull 5 is not just making waves at the box office but it’s also breaking records in terms of scale and cost. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film was shot entirely on a cruise and reportedly cost a whopping Rs 375 crore, making it the most expensive comedy film in Indian cinema.

The movie features Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan in the lead roles and Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Dino Morea, Chunky Pandey and Johnny Lever in the pivotal roles. Meanwhile, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Sonam Bajwa and Soundarya Sharma are the leading ladies of the film.

The cast’s reported fees have become a talking point, with Akshay Kumar reportedly earning Rs 60 to 70 crore, Riteish Deshmukh Rs 30 to 35 crore, and Abhishek Bachchan Rs 10 crore. Sanjay Dutt’s remuneration is said to be between Rs 12 to 15 crore, while Jackie Shroff and Nana Patekar charged around Rs 4 to 5 crore and Rs 3 to 4 crore respectively.

Among the female leads, Sonam Bajwa reportedly earned Rs 7 to 8 crore and Jacqueline Fernandez Rs 5 to 6 crore, though the fees for Chitrangda Singh, Nargis Fakhri, and Soundarya Sharma remain undisclosed.

Just as Housefull 5 rides high on its box office success, the film has come under fire after dancer and content creator Sandip Brahamin accused the makers of copying his signature “hat move” in the song Laal Pari without giving him any credit. Reacting to the claims, director Tarun Mansukhani said, “There was no intention to engage in any kind of plagiarism. It’s just one of those things that ended up happening. We’ve very sorry if he feels like that. I want to reiterate that there was no intention of causing any harm of any form.”

The film has performed impressively well at the box office as it inches close to Rs 120 Cr in just six days.
