On June 12 in Hyderabad, an intensive accident happened on the set of an upcoming film ‘The India House’. The movie stars Nikhil Siddhartha in the lead role and is produced by actor Ram Charan. This is not the first time there has been a mishap on the set of The India House. A large water tank is said to have burst on the film’s set in Shamshabad, leading to a lot of flooding and the shoot had to be disrupted.
Footage of the accident has emerged online, which showed panic as water rushed into the set. Members of the crew were seen running for safety, and others trying to save expensive filming equipment. Some crew members sustained minor injuries, and the set was also destroyed largely, according to reports. The shooting is called off momentarily.
Following the incident, lead actor Nikhil Siddhartha confirmed the news on social media. He shared a video from the spot and commented, “We are all safe. Sometimes in our quest to give the best cinematic experience, we take risks. Today we survived a huge mishap thanks to the alert crew and precautions taken. We lost expensive equipment, but by God’s grace, there was no human damage.”
Producer Abhishek Agarwal also addressed the incident, saying, “A mishap occurred on the sets of #TheIndiaHouse while shooting today. Everyone on the set is safe and sound. Thank you for all your concern. #JaiMataDi.” Ram Charan’s production house retweeted the updates to assure fans and well-wishers.
‘The India House’ is being directed by Ram Vamsi Krishna with Nikhil Siddhartha playing the key role. The movie is supported by both Ram Charan and Abhishek Agarwal. As Nikhil had clarified in a previous interview with Hindustan Times, the film is not about Veer Savarkar but a group of Indian students in 1905. According to him, it is a historical tale, which is quite straightforward and which people will be glad to see.
