Sunjay Kapur Posted About Tragic Ahmedabad Plane Crash Hours Before His Demise: ‘My Thoughts And Prayers’

The sudden demise of industrialist Sunjay Kapur has shocked his well wishers and loved ones. He passed away due to a heart attack at the age of 53 and this reportedly happened while he was playing polo. After his death, his last post on X has caught the attention of netizens as he expressed his grief about the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad.

Expressing his grief on the plane crash, he wrote on X, “Terrible news of the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad. My thoughts and prayers are with all the families affected. May they find strength in this difficult hour. #planecrash.”

Sunjay Kapur was the chairman of Sona Comstar and was known for being a prominent name in the automotive industry. He was also the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region, which worked in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and three Union Territories under his leadership.

He was first married to designer Nandita Mahtani but they separated after two years. He then married Karisma Kapoor in 2003 and they have two children. They divorced in 2016 but continued to co-parent their kids.

After his separation from Karisma, he tied the knot to longtime partner and model Priya Sachdev. The couple welcomed a son soon after their marriage.
