Is Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 Dropping On OTT Soon? Here’s Everything You Need To Know

Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2, the sequel to the 2018 action thriller Raid, hit theatres on May 1, 2025. Also starring Vaani Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh, the film continued the story of IRS officer Amay Patnaik, with Riteish Deshmukh portraying the antagonist Dada Manohar Bhai and Vaani Kapoor playing the role of Patnaik’s wife. Other key roles were played by Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Supriya Pathak, and Amit Sial.

According to media reports, the film is now set for its digital premiere on Netflix on June 27, 2025. However, an official release date is yet to be announced.

Raid 2 picks up the story of Amay Patnaik, an honest and fearless officer played by Ajay Devgn. This time, he goes after a powerful and corrupt politician named Dada Bhai, played by Riteish Deshmukh. Even though he’s suspended and receives threats, Amay continues his mission to uncover a huge black money racket and eventually finds proof against Dada Bhai.

Things take an unexpected twist when Dada Bhai ends up in jail with Tauji, a character from the first Raid played by Saurabh Shukla. This has left fans wondering if Raid 3 might be in the works.

Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, its is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak.

Raid 2 managed to earn Rs 165.1 crore in just its first week, outperforming films like Sikandar, Jaat and Kesari 2. After the success of Ajay Devgn’s ‘Singham Again,’ Raid 2 marks eighth career best for the actor which entered Rs 200 crore club. 

Meanwhile, on the work front the actor has projects lined up including Son of Sardaar 2 and De De Pyaar De 2, Drishyam 3 which are scheduled to release later this year or next year. A few weeks ago, he completed the shoot of Dhamaal 4, which will release in 2026.
