Shah Rukh Khan Surprises Aamir Khan On Sitaare Zameen Par Set, Shares Heartwarming Moments With Cast
Aamir Khan is gearing up for his much anticipated return with Sitaare Zameen Par, the spiritual sequel to his 2007 cult classic Taare Zameen Par. The film focuses on specially abled children and features Aamir as a basketball coach.
Ahead of its theatrical release, the makers dropped a heartwarming BTS video that captured a surprise visit by none other than Shah Rukh Khan.
In the video, Shah Rukh is seen walking onto the film’s set, much to the delight of the cast. The superstar revealed that Aamir had been urging him for days to visit. “Aamir has told me at least 10 times. He said, ‘Come and meet the actors. They are doing so well. I didn’t get time earlier but every day I meet him, whenever I am meeting him, he is calling me also, saying, ‘Please come. Please come.’ Even 3 days ago, he told me, ‘Shah, tu ana yaar (Come no, please)!’” Shah Rukh shared, smiling.
SRK can be seen interacting with each cast member, asking about their experiences, and even posing for pictures. Some young actors shared their favorite SRK films like Chak De! India and Don, and the moment peaked when Shah Rukh performed his signature arms wide open pose, drawing cheers all around.
Directed by RS Prasanna, the film is set to hit theatres on June 20. The film also stars Genelia D’Souza and is a remake of the Spanish film Campeones.
The film recently hit an unexpected hurdle ahead of its release where the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) asked for two cuts, which Aamir initially refused to implement, citing the creative integrity of the project. However, the film was officially cleared by the CBFC.
