What do K-pop and demons have in common? Normally nothing but Netflix’s upcoming animated film KPop Demon Hunters is about to flip that narrative with a fun mix of music, fantasy, action, and comedy turning K-pop stars into stylish demon fighters.
Plot
The film is about a K-pop girl group called Huntrix with three members Rumi, Mira, and Zoey. And secretly, they’re demon hunters protecting Earth. They go up against a rival boy band, the Saja Boys, who are actually demons trying to steal their fans’ souls. Thus begins a fight that’s centered around K-pop music-inspired plot.
Voice Cast & Character
Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, and produced by Sony Pictures Animation, the film features a star-studded lineup of Asian and Korean-American voice talent:
- Arden Cho as Rumi – the leader who’s confident and keep the group together.
- May Hong as Mira – the tough, tomboy of the group and also its powerhouse.
- Ji-Young Yoo as Zoey – the vivacious, bubbly rapper with a sharp tongue.
- Ahn Hyo-Seop as Jinu – the leader of Saja Boys, who’s dangerously charming.
- Ken Jeong as Bobby – the over-the-top manager.
Additional voices include Byung-Hun Lee, Yunjin Kim, Daniel Dae Kim, Joel Kim Booster, Liza Koshy, and more.

The film has a powerful music album created by artists like Teddy Park, Danny Chung, EJAE, KUSH, Lindgren, and others.
