Tom Cruise attended the premiere of F1 to show his support for Brad Pitt.

The movie revolves around Sonny Hayes, who retires as an F1 driver as he meets a horrible crash in the 1990s. He comes out of his retirement after a Formula One team owner and friend, Ruben, contacts him to mentor rookie prodigy Joshua.
F1 also stars Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and Javier Bardem. The movie will release on June 27, 2025, and will arrive internationally two days before on June 25. It is directed by Joseph Kosinski with a screenplay written by Ehren Kruger.
Meanwhile, all ten Formula One teams and their drivers in the 2023 season will reportedly appear as themselves in the movie. This includes Max Verstappen, Sergio Pérez, Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz Jr., Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, Fernando Alonso, Lance Stroll, Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Nyck De Vries, Valtteri Bottas, Zhou Guanyu, Nico Hülkenberg, Kevin Magnussen, Daniel Ricciardo, Yuki Tsunoda, Liam Lawson, Logan Sargeant and Alexander Albon.
