When All of Us Are Dead hit Netflix on January 28, 2022, it wasn’t just another show it became a smash hit. The Korean zombie thriller captured the attention of audiences as soon as it arrived and quickly became one of Netflix’s most watched shows. Given its popularity, Netflix announced a second season in June 2022. But since then, updates have been very limited, leaving viewers waiting impatiently for almost three years.

Now, there’s finally some movement. The second season of the show will go on the floors by the end of this year and the new star cast has also been announced for it. According to Collider’s report, joining the show this time are Min-Jae Lee, Se-Yoon Kim, Ji-Hoon Seo, Ga-Yi Yoon and Jae-Won Roh who have recently been seen in big K-dramas. These new faces will share the screen with the main cast of Season 1 Park Ji-hoo, Yoon Chan-young, Cho Yi-hyun, Lomon, Yoo In-soo and Lee Yoo-mi who have become K-drama stars themselves.

The show has now joined the ranks of popular K-dramas that have endured a long wait from one season to the next like Sweet Home and Squid Game. Interestingly, two of the actors cast in Squid Game season 2 Si-eun Kim and Jae-won Roh are now also new parts of All of Us Are Dead, adding to the excitement of fans.

The show is based on a popular webtoon and revolves around a zombie virus spreading through a high school. A failed scientific experiment leads to the infection and the students are trapped inside the school, without any help. The series kept viewers hooked.

What To Expect In Season 2?

The story of the second season will no longer be limited to just survival. This time the focus will be on the incomplete story of the “halfbies” hybrid characters of human and zombie. It will also show how the survivors live now after coming out of the school.

While the release date for season 2 is yet to be revealed, filming begins next month.
