James Gunn’s New DC Film Earns High Praise As Audiences Hail David Corenswet

Despite the initial doubt among DC fans, ‘Superman’ received a good response after the release of its trailer. The movie features David Corenswet in the title role with Rachel Brosnahan as journalist Lois Lane. The audience and critics have given their verdict of ‘Superman’ ahead of its release, and fans can have a sigh of relief as the movie has been getting rave reviews.

While speaking to GQ, David revealed that he was initially hesitant to take on the iconic role of Superman. He shared, “A role like Superman seems like something that everybody would want, and that’s not true. There are some people who wouldn’t want that role and who would, if given the opportunity, say no. I am obviously not one of those people. But I certainly tried to think of reasons not to.”

He added, “Ultimately, what I landed on for myself was, if this is the only role I get to play for the rest of my life, and that means whether I get to play it once or get to play it 10 times, would I still say yes? And the answer was yes.”

‘Superman’ also stars Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, and Isabela Merced in the lead roles. The movie will be released in theatres on July 11, 2025.
