The Neetu Singh Playlist: Khullam Khulla Pyar Karenge To Tere Chehre Se Nazar Nahin Hat Ti… News24 –

1.Bachche mann ke sachche (Do Kaliyan): Lataji used to say Neetu Singh  was the youngest heroine she sang  for. At age 7  Neetu  played  a  double role and got to sing two songs in Lataji’s voice Murga murgi  pyar se dekhe and  this cute number composed by Ravi where she  was  a sing-stealer.

2.kisi pe dil agar  aa jaye (Raffoo Chakkar): Neetu  had a slew of hits with her  future husband Rishi Kapoor. This early Kalyanji-Anandji composition vocalized  by Asha  Bhosle  and Shailendra Singh gave  a  ring of zing to the pair.

    3. Lekar hum deewana dil (Yaadon Ki Baarat):  When Neetu Singh got  a chance to  sizzle on screen she could  bring the house down. Here she teamed up with  Tariq Shah(filmmaker Nasir Hussain’s nephew) and  danced  her  heart out  to this zestful R D Burman  number.Asha Bhosle vocalised  the actress’ gamine zest.

    4. Khullam khulla pyar karenge (Khel Khel Mein): The song epitomizes  the Neetu-Rishi pair’s  joie de vivre . Add R D Burman’s composition, and Asha  Bhosle singing and  you have  a brew that is lethally  potent.

5.Tere chehre se nazar nahin hat ti (Kabhi Kabhie): All the serious poetic songs went to Mukesh, Rishi got Kishore and Lataji slipped her vocals effortlessly  from Raakhee Gulzar to Neetu Singh. Her dancing skills were so  deviously dextrous they could burn the  floor , and leave  the audience panting for  more.

6.Nahin  nahin jaana nahin(Zinda Dil): An absolute gem of a song where Neetu Singh moved away from the  vivacity of  R D Burman and Asha  Bhosle to the melodic heft of Lataji and Laxmikant-Pyarelal.

7.Haye re haye tera ghungta(Dhongee):  Neetu’s  co-star  in this  fun  song was not Rishi Kapoor  but her brother-in-law Randhir  Kapoor and what a whale of a time the pair had  in this  R D Burman track where the  word Ghungta acquires a life of its own.

8.Tere bin kaise din beete sajna(Priyatama): This was one of Neetu Singh’s more serious  roles where she showed her acting chops . This song about a marital rift  finds Lataji at the acme  of  lucidity. Neetu once told me, “I didn’t have to lip sync in this song, just emote to Lataji’s singing.I just followed her voice.”

    9. Pyar ke din aaye (Maha Chor):  Lataji, Kishore,  R  D Burman and the monsoon. Neetu Singh simply  swung   into the groove with Rajesh Khanna.

    10. Aankhon mein kajal hai (Doosra Aadmi): While Raakhee Gulzar had the pensive  Chal Kahin dur nikal jayen, Neetu Singh’s  flew into the land of  supreme romance with Rishi Kapoor in this magical Rajesh Roshan composition.
