James Gunn’s DC Movie Holds Momentum Despite Weekday Slowdown


‘Superman’ has finally arrived in theatres worldwide after generating major buzz ahead of its release. Starring David Corenswet in the title role, the movie brings back the glory of Superman to the big screen after eight years. David replaces Henry Cavill as the beloved superhero and has been receiving immense praise for his performance. ‘Superman’ enjoys a huge fan following in India as well, and it’s giving tough competition to Bollywood movies released this week.

Superman Box Office Collection India Day 5:

‘Superman’ continued its box office run in India with a steady opening weekend. The film kicked off with a solid start on its first Friday, earning Rs 7.25 crore. On second day, it saw a healthy jump, collecting Rs 9.5 crore. It saw a slight dip on third day with Rs 9.25 crore. Day four witnessed a significant drop of over 75%, bringing in Rs 2.6 crore.

According to Sacnilk early estimates, the film collected Rs 3 crore on Day 5, taking its total box office collection to Rs 31.6 crore in five days.

Superman Box Office Collection Worldwide Day 5:

Warner Bros. and DC Studios’ ‘Superman’ had a strong start at the global box office, earning $220 million in its opening weekend. With a global debut of $217 million, including $122 million domestically, Warner Bros./DC Studios’ The movie has been a huge hit at the box office abroad. It earned around $95 million from international markets. It had the third biggest domestic opening of the year, after A Minecraft Movie and Jurassic World Rebirth.

About Superman

Apart from David Corenswet, the movie also stars Rachel Brosnahan and Nicholas Hoult. Rachel plays Lois Lane, a journalist and Clark Kent a.k.a. Superman’s love interest. Nicholas plays Lex Luthor, the film’s antagonist who hates Superman.

As ‘Superman’ was produced on a $225 million budget, the future of the movie appears bright. 

‘Superman’ also stars Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, and Isabela Merced in the supporting roles.
