Vir Das, Ranveer Singh And Other Indian Celebs Mourn Ozzy Osbourne’s Death


Legendary heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76, after a prolonged battle with Parkinson’s disease. In an official statement, Ozzy’s family said, “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.  Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”

The news of his passing has sent shockwaves through the global music community, with tributes pouring in from fellow musicians, fans, and celebrities across the world.

Comedian and actor Vir Das shared a photo with the caption, “Shed many tears. Go on home prince 👑 🤘thank you for the soundtrack to many great moments in my life. #Ozzy”

Ranveer Singh posted a photo of Ozzy on his Instagram story, accompanied by a broken heart, folded hands, and a guitar emoji.

Singer Adnan Sami also paid tribute on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Ozzy Osbourne… RIP..”

International figures also honoured the rock legend. Actor Jason Momoa, comedian Adam Sandler, and footballer David Beckham were among the many who posted tributes.
