Impossible – The Final Reckoning To Hit OTT; When And Where To Watch Tom Cruise’s Spy Thriller


Paramount Pictures has revealed that Mission: Impossible- “The Final Reckoning”- which is the eighth and last movie in a famous spy-action film series- will be available to buy or rent online (on platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, etc.) starting from August 19, 2025.

Fans can stream the film on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home.

The film, which hit Indian theatres on May 17 in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, stars Tom Cruise reprising his role as the indomitable IMF agent Ethan Hunt. The official X (formerly Twitter) page of the film wrote, “Around the world, you showed up. Now bring home #MissionImpossible – The Final Reckoning on Digital August 19 and see it in theatres today.”

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, this is Tom Cruise’s fourth Mission: Impossible movie in a row since Rogue Nation came out in 2015. He returns as Ethan Hunt, the brave IMF agent, who must save the world from a dangerous artificial intelligence called The Entity.

Set just months after the previous film, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning follows Ethan Hunt’s high-stakes quest to locate the AI’s source code, concealed within a sunken Russian submarine in the Bering Sea. The official synopsis declares, “Our lives are the sum of our choices.”

Cast

The cast features familiar faces from the franchise, including Ving Rhames as Luther, Simon Pegg as Benji, Hayley Atwell as Grace, Vanessa Kirby as Alanna, Esai Morales as Gabriel and Pom Klementieff as Paris. Joining them are Angela Bassett, Henry Czerny, Nick Offerman, Greg Tarzan Davis, Rolf Saxon, Hannah Waddingham, and Shea Whigham in key supporting roles.

Fans purchasing the digital version will also gain access to exclusive bonus content. This includes behind-the-scenes interviews, commentary from McQuarrie, deleted scenes, and a deep dive into the technical challenges behind Cruise’s practical stunts, particularly the airplane and ocean sequences. The film will be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on October 14, 2025.
