Pedro Pascal-Vanessa Kirby Starrer Sees Mixed Momentum In India, Holds Strong Globally

‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’, the most-awaited Marvel movie of 2025, has finally hit the theatres worldwide. The movie has been receiving an amazing response from the audiences, which is a big relief for Marvel Studios, as many past projects were underwhelming. 

However, it opened to a lukewarm start at the Indian box office. It earned much less than expected on its first day, mainly because of fewer screens, tough competition from other movies still running, and people feeling a bit tired of superhero films.

The Fantastic Four First Steps Box Office Collection India Day 3:

At the India box office, The Fantastic Four: First Steps had a modest start. It earned approximately Rs 5.25 crore on its opening day, followed by a slight rise on day 2 with collections around Rs 7.35 crore. 

According to Sacnilk early estimates, the film collected Rs 7 crore on Day 3, bringing the total three day weekend figure to approximately Rs 19.60 crore. The film’s performance across English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions reflects strong pan India interest, with English and Hindi driving the bulk of the revenue.

The Marvel film might have earned more if Saiyaara wasn’t dominating the box office. Since Bollywood movies were the top choice for audiences this weekend, the one starring Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby clearly took a major hit.

The Fantastic Four First Steps Box Office Collection Worldwide Day 3:

According to studio estimates, the Pedro pascal-Vanessa kirby starrer earned $118 million in its first weekend in North America. Globally, the film made $218 million, with $100 million coming from 52 international markets. The Associated Press reported that these numbers were in line with what the studio expected.

Compared to other superhero films in similar regions, its international debut was 4% better than Captain America: Brave New World, 11% better than Superman, and 13% better than Thunderbolts. According to Deadline, The Fantastic Four also had the biggest superhero opening of 2025 in several smaller countries outside Europe and Latin America, such as Mexico, the UK, France, Italy, and Spain.
