Khloé Kardashian, known for her confident public persona, has candidly revealed her struggles with anxiety, insecurity, and self-doubt. In an interview with Bustle, she shared how the COVID-19 pandemic heightened these challenges, turning her into a recluse and amplifying her social anxiety.
“The pandemic really made me insecure about doing anything on my own,” she admitted. “I questioned myself, with negative thoughts swirling in my head.”
Personal Setbacks And Family Support
Khloé disclosed that relationship challenges also contributed to her mental health struggles, creating a “perfect negative storm” that impacted her self-esteem. Despite this, her family, particularly her sister Kim Kardashian, offered vital support.
“Kim has really held my hand through so many dark phases,” Khloé said, describing her sister as a “crusader” who guided her toward the light during tough times.
Therapy And Fitness As Tools For Healing
Initially, therapy became a refuge for Khloé during her divorce, but it took a devastating turn when private details from her sessions were leaked to tabloids. Feeling betrayed, she turned to fitness as an outlet for her emotions.
“The gym became my therapy,” she explained. “I needed a release, and it was the one place I felt safe.” Over time, her consistent fitness routine transformed her both physically and emotionally, becoming a decade-long journey.
Returning to Therapy and Embracing Growth
Though her trust in therapy was shaken, Khloé recently returned to it at 39, embracing it as part of her self-growth. “I do go to therapy now,” she shared, emphasizing the importance of tackling challenges with resilience.
Khloé’s story serves as a reminder that even public figures face personal battles, and with support and determination, healing is possible.
