Daily exposure to dust, heat and sunlight can steal the natural glow of your skin. Sometimes the face looks dull and tired, and even chemical-based products don’t make much of a difference. Ayurvedic expert Acharya Balkrishna explains that natural, chemical-free remedies can bring back the lost radiance. He shared a few medicinal plants and home ingredients that can help improve skin texture and brightness.
What to apply for glowing skin
Cucumber for instant freshness
Acharya Balkrishna says that cucumber is excellent for enhancing skin beauty. Simply cut a fresh cucumber and rub the slices gently on your face for about 5 minutes. Leave the juice on your skin for 20 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water. This simple routine can refresh your skin, add a natural glow and make your face look brighter and healthier.
Aloe Vera to Remove Dark Spots
Fresh aloe vera can be applied directly to the face. Using aloe vera gel helps reduce dark spots, pimples, and sunburn. You can apply aloe vera gel on your face or even on the entire body before bathing. According to Acharya Balkrishna, after using aloe vera, there’s no need for expensive creams or lotions. It also helps treat various skin problems naturally.
Pomegranate Leaves for Wrinkles
For people whose skin is sagging or losing firmness, pomegranate leaves are very effective. Acharya Balkrishna suggests crushing the leaves to extract their juice. Mix this juice with sesame oil – for example, one kilogram of pomegranate leaf juice with half a kilogram of sesame oil. This prepared oil can be massaged on the face or other parts of the body. Regular use helps reduce wrinkles and also improves muscle strength.
