Bali has once again captured the hearts of travellers worldwide, earning the title of the world’s best destination for 2026 in TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best. The recognition comes as a result of thousands of reviews from real visitors who praised the island for its landscapes, culture, beaches, and unique experiences.
TripAdvisor Awards Reflect Real Traveller Experiences
The annual Travellers’ Choice Awards by TripAdvisor are based on the quantity and quality of traveller feedback. The awards celebrate destinations, food, cultural experiences, solo travel, honeymoon spots, and more. Bali topped the list of the world’s top 10 destinations, beating famous cities like London, Dubai, Hanoi, Paris, and Rome.
Big Win for Bali
Bali Governor Wayan Koster called the recognition a proof of the island’s resilience. “Bali has secured the highest position in the world throughout history, showing that challenges like waste, traffic, and low visitor numbers cannot shake its appeal,” he said in Denpasar. Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana added that the award reflects global travellers’ confidence in Bali as a premier tourist destination.
