Watch: Moved by kanwariyas’ plight, Bijnor police officer in uniform carries their kanwar, heartwarming gesture moves people



Bijnor inspector viral video: Inspector Anuj Kumar Tomar, who is posted at Dhamapur police station in Bijnor, was patrolling on NH 74 (Dehradun-Nainital highway) when he witnessed two devotees carrying kanwars. After heavy rains along the way, the kanwariyas got drenched and were exhausted due to continuous walking.

The inspector posted in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh, has received praise for his heartwarming gesture.

While the police officer was carrying the kanwar, a passerby recorded the video and uploaded it on social media. People have praised the gesture and it is being shared multiple times.

What actually happened?

According to reports, inspector Anuj Kumar Tomar, who is posted at Dhamapur police station in Bijnor, was patrolling on NH 74 (Dehradun-Nainital highway) when he witnessed two devotees carrying kanwars.

When inspector Anuj spoke to them, he found out that both of them were father and son, residints of Bareilly’s Bara Dari. They mentioned that they were coming from Haridwar carrying the kanwar.

Due to heavy rains along the way, they got drenched and were exhausted due to continuous walking. Consequently, their condition deteriorated due to exhaustion. After hearing their plight, Anuj took their kanwar and instructed them to get into his official vehicle, directly driving them to the pilgrimage site.

Following this, inspector Anuj walked around 4 kilometers with their kanwar finally reaching the Shiva temple. He met both the kanwariyas there and provided them with food and gave back their kanwar.

The video of the police officer is being widely shared on social media while netizens appreciate his gesture to help out devotees.
