Vasai: In a tragic incident in Vasai, a young woman was fatally attacked with a spanner by her boyfriend on Tuesday morning in Chinchpada. According to a report, the assault occurred in the middle of the road, where the 29-year-old attacker repeatedly hit the victim on her head and chest. The girl, clad in traditional attire, lay motionless on the road. A video of the disturbing incident has emerged online, showing the suspect holding a spanner and shouting, “Why did you do this to me?” before attacking her once more and then throwing away the weapon.
It is shocking that despite several bystanders being present, no one intervened to stop the assault. Many were seen filming the incident, while others moved away from the scene as the assailant continued to attack the motionless woman repeatedly. Sadly, motorists passing by also did not make any effort to assist the victim who lay in a pool of blood.
A bystander recorded the shocking incident, which could serve as crucial evidence in the case. As per the report, the girl was discovered in a pool of blood, and it is suspected that she died instantly at the scene.
The victim, identified as 20-year-old Aarti, was tragically killed in the incident. The accused, identified as Rohit Yadav, was promptly arrested by the local police, according to a report. The severity of this crime underscores how individuals can turn violent over the rejection of love.
