Rajasthan: In Jaipur, a tragic accident occurred when an overloaded pick-up van overturned in Churu district, Rajasthan, on Wednesday. The accident led to the deaths of two people, including a 12-year-old child named Aditya and a 50-year-old man named Krishna Meena. Along with the fatalities, 27 students were injured in the accident. The bodies of the deceased were later taken to hospital for postmortem.
Reports say the children were traveling in the van for a government school teacher’s retirement procession when the accident happened on the Meghsar-Jhansar Ghazia road.

Details of the Incident
The 27 injured children were taken to various hospitals: twenty were admitted to the sub-district hospital in Taranagar, five were sent to a private hospital, and one child with serious injuries was moved to Jaipur for further treatment. The deceased are being examined at the hospital morgue.
What Caused the Accident?
Taranagar DSP Meenakshi said the van, which was overcrowded with locals and students going to Dheerwas Bada village for a teacher’s retirement celebration, overturned. The injured are receiving medical care, and more details will be provided as they become available.
