On Thursday, the Allahabad High Court upholded the Hindu side case and rejected the Muslim side’s request about whether the lawsuit could continue in the Krishna Janmabhoomi case.

This suggests the court believes the Places of Worship Act does not limit the lawsuit. It dismissed the Muslim side’s request under Section 7 Rule 11 of the Code of Civil Procedure, which questioned whether the Hindu side’s lawsuit could continue. The hearing for the case will commence on August 12.
