Three Coaches Of Korba-Visakhapatnam Express Catch Fire

Early Sunday morning, three air-conditioned coaches of the Korba-Visakhapatnam Express caught fire shortly after the train reached Visakhapatnam railway station in Andhra Pradesh.

The fire started in the AC coach, and passengers quickly raised the alarm. Railway officials helped everyone evacuate the train safely as the flames spread to three coaches.

No passengers were harmed, and the fire has been put out. The train was supposed to continue to Tirupati, and officials are arranging alternatives for the affected passengers.

The police stated that they are still determining the exact cause of the incident and are currently investigating. The early investigation suggests that a short circuit caused the fire.

In January  three train coaches caught fire near Kiul railway station in Bihar’s Lakhisarai district, but all passengers were safely evacuated, according to railway officials.

The short-distance train was traveling from Patna to Jasidih on the Patna-Howrah route when flames were spotted around 5:24 pm, just as it was nearing Kiul station. Passengers pulled the alarm chain, and as the train reached Kiul station.
