Who Will Be Maharashtra CM? Eknath Shinde Cancels Mahayuti Meeting Amid Ongoing Speculations News24 –


After the result of Maharashtra election were out on November 23, Mahayuti makes a U-turn to the power. Maharashtra is waiting for the CM. As per media reports Eknath Shinde has supported BJP’s decision regarding CM’s Post. However, an official announcement is still awaited.

As per reports by NDTV, the meeting of leaders of Mahayuti was scheduled to happen on Friday. Now as per updates the meeting is suppose to happen on Sunday.

The Mahayuti’s meeting in Mumbai got cancelled. Eknath Shinde is going to his village in Satara and the meeting will be held once he return from his village, as reported by NDTV. His sudden visit to his village has raised questions.

Meeting With Amit Shah And JP Nadda

Recently Shiv Sena’s Eknath Shinde, NCP Chief Ajit Pawar and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis met the BJP National President JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi.

As per media reports Maharashtra caretaker CM Eknath Shinde called this meeting a ‘Positive’ one. But Shinde stated that the decision regarding the post of the CM will be taken in Mumbai during meeting of Mahayuti.

Maharashtra caretaker CM Eknath Shinde stated that, “The meeting was good and positive. This was the first meeting. We had a discussion with Amit Shah and JP Nadda. There will be another meeting of the Mahayuti. In this meeting, a decision will be taken about who will be the Chief Minister. The meeting will be held in Mumbai.”

Mahayuti’s Landslide Victory

Out of 288 seats, Mahayuti has grabbed 230 seats which includes- BJP with 132 seats, Eknath Shinde-Shiv Sena with 57 seats and NCP-Ajit Pawar with 41 seats. On the other end Maha Vikas Aghadi is lost as they failed to get the majority in the election. MVA got only 46 seats which include- Shiv Sena (UBT) with 20 seats, Congress with 16 seats and NCP-Sharad Pawar with 10 seats.
