JK Government Dismisses Employees Linked to Terrorism, Signals Zero Tolerance Policy News24 –

In a decisive move against terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has announced the termination of two government employees due to their alleged ties to terrorist activities. The dismissed individuals, Abdul Rehman Naika, a pharmacist in the Health Department, and Zahir Abbas, a teacher in the School Education Department, were reportedly linked to the Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist outfit.

Investigations revealed that Naika was involved in the 2021 murder of political activist Ghulam Hassan Lone in Kulgam, while Abbas had previously been arrested in 2020 for allegedly providing shelter to terrorists in Kishtwar, Jammu. These dismissals underscore the government’s commitment to rooting out elements that threaten the peace and stability in the country.

As per sources following the terminations, Sinha reiterated the administration’s unwavering stance against terrorism and its sympathizers. “We will not tolerate any anti-national activities,” he declared emphatically. “Those who support or harbor terrorists will face stringent repercussions.”

This latest action is part of a broader strategy aimed at dismantling terrorist networks and ensuring the safety of citizens in Jammu and Kashmir. The government’s firm approach serves as a reminder that it is taking proactive steps to safeguard the region from extremist influences.
