NTA Reschedules UGC NET 2024 Exams to January 21 and 27, 2025

he National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the rescheduling of the UGC NET 2024 exams that were scheduled for January 15. According to NTA, the exams originally scheduled for January 15 will now take place on two different dates: January 21 and 27.

17 subject exams that were supposed to be held on January 15 have now been divided between these two dates. This change comes after the NTA postponed the exam, originally scheduled for January 15, due to the celebrations of Pongal and Makar Sankranti, important festivals in India.

New Exam Schedule

The UGC NET exam is a crucial test for candidates seeking eligibility for assistant professorships and research fellowships in Indian universities. The revised schedule will allow candidates to take the exam in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format across various cities in India. The exams will be conducted in two shifts daily: the morning shift from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and the afternoon shift from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Important Dates

  • Exam Dates: January 3 to January 16, 2025
  • Shift Timings:
  • Morning: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Afternoon: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Candidates are encouraged to check their examination city slips, which provide information about where they will be taking the exam. The city slip was released on January 10, and candidates can find it on the official NTA website.

Preparing For The Exam

With the new schedule in place, candidates should focus on their preparation. It is essential to review the syllabus and practice with mock tests to ensure they are ready for the exam format. Additionally, students should keep an eye on the official NTA website for any further updates or changes regarding the examination process.
