The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has approved the layout for the development of first phase of Film city near Yamuna Expressway and the Noida International Airport. It will be constructed in Sector 21. The foundation of the project will be laid in February and the project is likely to be rolled out in eight years.

Last year on June 27, the Uttar Pradesh government has given Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects LLP, in collaboration with the real estate firm Bhutani Infra, the deal for the making of first phase of the project. The plan was drafted on December, 2024. Later it was reviewed by the planning department of the development authority.

The approved layout will be valid for five years, stated Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority’s CEO Arun Vir Singh.

As quoted by Times of India, “The master plan divides the 230 acres into designated zones for film production facilities, commercial establishments, and green spaces. Around 155 acres have been allocated for the core film industry that will have film production studios, sound stages, post-production units and related infrastructure. This area is divided into four campuses.”

In the first phase of this project, commercial hub like retail spaces, office building and entertainment complexes will be there on the 75 acres land.

Under the master plan comes a 23-ace green zone designated both commercial and industrial purposes. The cost for this project is Rs 1,510 crores, as per media reports.
