A man was beaten to death with a bat after a dispute erupted during a cricket match in Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida. The man’s body was found on February 18 in a field. The police have rushed to the spot and sent the body for postmortem.
The deceased has been identified as Manish Sharma, a native of Surajpur. He was 32. The police found in its preliminary investigation that a clash broke out between Manish and a group of men. The men started hitting him with a bat, and he died. A team of forensic experts also reached the spot to collect the evidence.
The cops have detained three persons in connection with the case for interrogation. The police have registered a case of murder. The cops have launched a probe and are looking for those involved in the crime. The police said that it would conduct a thorough investigation into the matter. Police have increased patrols in the area.
