‘Air India S**ks! Oscar for Worst Airline’ – Airline Roasted Again For Its Customer Service, Apologises To Jaiveer Shergill! News24 –

BJP’s Jaiveer Shergill, in a strong post on X, shared his recent flight experience with Air India, mentioning several issues like broken seats and poor customer service.

BJP national spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill has become the latest politician to criticize Air India for its services, following Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who said the airline deserved an “Oscar for the worst airline.” In a strong post on X, Shergill shared his recent experience flying with Air India, pointing out many issues, including broken seats and bad customer service.

Jaiveer Shergill said flying with Air India was not a good experience, and today it “broke all records.” He expressed his frustration, saying, “If there was an Oscar for the worst airline, Air India would win in every category: broken seats, terrible staff, awful ground support, and a careless attitude towards customer service.”

After Shergill shared this on X, Air India apologised for the ‘inconvenience’.

Shivraj Chouhan Attacks Air India Over Seat Issue

Shergill’s criticism comes just days after Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also slammed Air India for giving him a “broken and sunken” seat during his recent flight (AI436) from Bhopal to New Delhi. Chouhan said the unpleasant experience was like “cheating” the passengers, especially since they paid the full fare.

“I was allotted seat number 8C. When I reached my seat and sat down, I found that it was broken and sunk. Sitting was uncomfortable,” Chouhan said in a long post on X.

The former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister explained that when he spoke to the airline staff, they told him the management was already aware of the seat’s condition.

“When I asked the flight attendants, they told me that the management had been informed earlier about the condition of the seat and its ticket should not be sold,” he further said.

As Chouhan’s post went viral, Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu spoke to him and promised that action would be taken. The aviation regulator, DGCA, has been asked to investigate the issue.

The Tata Group bought Air India from the government in 2022 for Rs 18,000 crore. However, the airline has faced complaints about flight delays, especially on long flights, and old seats on some planes.

Passenger’s Month-Long Struggle After Air India Loses Luggage

Frustrated passenger Pratik Rai took to social media, saying “Air India S**ks!” after the airline lost his checked-in luggage. Rai checked in his bag on January 21 at Delhi airport, and while the baggage tracker showed it arrived in Bengaluru, he couldn’t find it at the baggage claim. Despite filing a complaint and being promised it would be delivered within 24 hours, Rai has been waiting for over a month with no hope of getting his bag back.
