The project, which runs through 11 districts of MP and connects 30 national and state highways and district roads, will be developed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

The Connectivity

The Narmada Expressway is being built between the districts of Alirajpur and Anuppur, beginning in Amarkantak. The expressway will connect Anuppur, Dindori, Mandla, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Hoshangabad, Harda, Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, and Alirajpur.

The state highways that connect to this expressway are now two-lane, but later it will be expanded into four lanes, which will be beneficial for the people who live in the cities along the route. The project is expected to be completed by 2026. The Narmada Expressway will connect Gujarat to Chhattisgarh. It will connect Anuppur to Chhattisgarh, and Alirajpur to Ahmedabad.

Tourism

The Narmada Expressway would help strengthen the state’s tourism business. Gujarat and Chhattisgarh will both profit from this. Tourists visiting Omkareshwar, Amarkantak, and Bhedaghat-Lametaghat will find it easier to get around on the expressway.
