Noida To Launch Free HPV Vaccination Drive On March 20 To Prevent Cervical Cancer News24 –

To prevent the spread of cervical cancer, the HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccination programme will soon start in Noida, said officials, adding nearly 500 students aged between 9 and 26 are all set to receive the first vaccine during the campaign. Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Renu Agarwal explained that early vaccination will significantly decrease cervical cancer threats for girls older than 9 years of age.

The district magistrate gave instructions to both health and education departments to launch their vaccination operations on March 20 during their Thursday meeting. The educational institutions received directions to collect approval from parents before their students participate. The vaccine program receives funding from Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) so students can obtain it without any cost.

The district school inspector together with the district basic education officer need to receive consent forms from parents for facilitating the process. The training will teach teachers to inform students and their guardians about vaccine advantages. The program operates as a district-wide campaign to secure female students against this potentially fatal disease. The process of vaccination requires parents to give their written approval for their children before any schools begin offering this service.

The officials made sure that plenty of vaccine doses existed because CSR funding would provide cost-free access to all beneficiaries. The vaccination drive serves as an essential measure to decrease cervical cancer occurrences across this area.
