Woman Tossed In Air By Stray Cow In Chennai’s Korattur Area; Incident Captured On CCTV News24 –

A woman was tossed by a stray cow in Balaji Nagar of Korattur area, Chennai. The incident was captured on a CCTV camera.  The video has gone viral on social media. 

In the CCTV footage, the woman is seen protecting her child from the stray animal and trying to take her daughter to the safe side. The cow followed them. Later, the cattle attacked the woman and tossed her in the air. Locals and passersby stopped their vehicles to rescue the woman.

A few people shooed the cattle away from the site. The woman sustained severe injuries, and she was admitted to the hospital for treatment. 

The authorities took cognisance of the incident and seized the cattle. The cow was ‘shifted’ to the ‘Ko’ Salai facility in Otteri.

On March 1, a 65-year-old man was gored to death by a bull near Veppanapalli in Tamil Nadu’s Krishnagiri. The man lost his life in an unauthorised bull-chasing event. The victim was identified as S Erusan, who was a coolie. 

The police said the event was organised without prior permission from the authorities and police.
