Rainfall Expected in THESE States Within 24 Hours; Heatwave Warning Issued Until March 18 News24 –

IMD Weather Update: Northwest India continues to face diverse weather conditions. Northeast states might see more rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds within 24 hours. The affected states include Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts a cyclonic circulation poised to bring rainfall with gusty winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 kmph over Arunachal Pradesh during the next 7 days.

Northern regions like Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand have witnessed snowfall in many areas in the past few days. According to IMD, these states will continue to receive light rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds. These weather patterns are attributed to a western disturbance lying as a cyclonic circulation over north Pakistan and the adjoining Jammu region.

According to IMD, a trough and wind confluence looming over East India is expected to bring scattered to fairly widespread rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong surface winds over east central India from 20th to 23rd March. Today, there will be no big change in weather conditions.
