Punjab Teenager Killed By Friend Over iPhone 11 News24 –


In a shocking incident, a 17-year-old boy was found dead on railway tracks in Punjab. The boy’s friend allegedly committed the offence. The police said the accused killed him as the deceased owned an iPhone 11. The deceased has been identified as Navjot Singh. 

The victim had gone on a trip to Haridwar

According to an NDTV report, the boy celebrated his birthday on March 25, and the next day, he left for a trip to Haridwar with his friends. But, later he called his parents and informed them that he was returning home. 

The police received a call from police on the fateful day that a body was lying down on railway tracks. The cops found a body in two parts, which was split. The body had several cut marks. The mutilated body failed to be identified. 

Police put up posters for identification

A senior police officer said the police put out posters in the village and asked people if they had any clue about the body. Later, Navjot’s father approached them to trace out his missing son. 

The police said Navjot was allegedly killed by Amanjot. The minor accused was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board. 

As per the report, another boy, who told Navjot’s family about the incident, was given Rs 1000 to help him in putting the body on the railway tracks. 

Drug smuggler house demolished

Meanwhile, the property of a drug smuggler was demolished on orders of the Punjab administration in Amritsar on April 2.

Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that the step was taken reportedly on the instructions of the Chief Minister as part of his ‘drug free Punjab’ initiative.

“On instructions of the CM as part of his ‘drug free Punjab’ initiative, we are here in Maqboolpura to assist the municipal corporation in the demolition drive. Gurmeet Singh is a notorious smuggler and has three NDPS cases against him. He is presently lodged in jail,” Bhullar said.
