Heavy Rain To Lash THESE Regions Within 24 Hours; Check Full Forecast News24 –


IMD Weather Update: Several states will see heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds in the coming week due to cyclonic circulations. In its press release, IMD stated that heavy rain would lash Kerala & Mahe till the 6th of March, while Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka will witness intense downpours today. The other affected places include Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura, likely to get rain on 6th April.

Rain To Lash Multiple States

According to the Weather Department, Arunachal Pradesh will continue to get battered by rain today, 5th April, while Andaman & Nicobar Islands will be on the 6th. Isolated hailstorms are also likely over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on the 6th of April. On the other hand, light showers are expected over South Peninsular India, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Odisha, and Northeast India on 5th and 6th April.

At the same time, the Met Body has issued a warning for a fresh Western Disturbance, set to impact the Western Himalayan Region from 8th April. Meanwhile, IMD’s latest weather bulletin indicates the possibility of rain over Maharashtra on April 5, 2025.

Heavy Rainfall Reported Across South India

Meanwhile, IMD reported heavy rainfall at isolated places over Telangana, South Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, and Tamil Nadu during the past 24 hours. Additionally, hailstorms occurred at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada, and Telangana yesterday.

➢ Slight damage to walls and huts.

➢ Avoid going outside, keep windows and doors closed, and avoid travel if possible.
➢ Take safe shelters. Do not take refuge under trees.
➢ Do not lie on concrete floors or walls.
➢ Unplug electronic appliances.
➢ Immediately get out of water bodies.
