Greater Noida: A major development has emerged regarding the connection between the Yamuna Expressway and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway in Greater Noida. It is being reported that an interchange is being constructed to connect these two expressways. The government has approved the construction of this interchange. The interchanging facility between these two expressways will operate without any charged tolls for traffic passing through.
NHAI Begins Work, Completion Expected By December
Dr. Arunveer Singh as CEO of Yamuna Authority announced that the government approved the new interchange linking Yamuna Expressway with Eastern Peripheral Expressway. However, work on the project had already been initiated by NHAI. The Jaganpur-Afzalpur location serves as the construction site for this interchange which lies 10 kilometers away from the Yamuna Expressway zero point. A total of nearly 60 hectares of land will compose the interchange which requires approximately Rs 270 crore investment. The CEO declared that they intend to finish construction at the end of 2025.
The new connection will simplify transportation within four successive states.
The interchange will have eight loops which consist of four entry and four exit points. The designed layout functions to prevent traffic jams across vehicle routes through the interchange area. The project builds accessible links between the Jewar Airport and developing areas and other locations. This development system will cut down traffic jams between Delhi Haryana Rajasthan Uttar Pradesh and Yamuna Expressway territories by saving passengers money on fuel and travel time.
No Toll For Commuters
The CEO of Yamuna Authority reports that the NHAI organization is responsible for constructing this interchange. There will be no separate toll for using the interchange, although the existing toll rates on the Yamuna Expressway and Eastern Peripheral Expressway will still apply for entering or exiting those expressways. In essence, commuters will not bear any additional financial burden for using the interchange.
Benefit To Farmers
The majority of land acquisition needs for the project are finished according to the CEO although 77 farmers received 7% population plots in exchange for their land allocations while 60 farmers got their plots in March. All major obstacles in the building of the interchange have been cleared away.
20-Kilometer Detour To Be Eliminated
Travelers who reach from Mathura and Agra need no longer drive for 20 kilometers to reach the Eastern Peripheral Expressway. Both time and fuel consumption will decrease because of this. The Yamuna Expressway will become directly accessible to traffic coming from both Duhai and Dasna when the new interchange completes its operations.
