In a shocking incident in Raipur, Chattisgarh, a son murdered his 70-year-old mother after she refused to give him Rs 200 to buy German Shepherd dog. The tragic incident happened in the Urla police station area of Raipur. The son, identified as Pradeep Devangan, is a e-rickshaw driver. The police arrested him within 24 hours.
Dispute Over ₹200 Led to Murder
Pradeep had asked his mother for ₹200 to buy a dog, but she refused. This led to an argument between the two. In a fit of rage, Pradeep attacked his mother with a hammer while she was lying on the bed.
Wife Gets Hurt While Trying to Help
When Pradeep’s wife heard the noise and tried to intervene, he also attacked her. She was injured in the attack and is being treated at the Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Hospital in Raipur.
15-Year-Old Son Alerts Neighbors
After The brutal attack, Pradeep’s 15-year-old son ran out of the house and informed the neighbours and about what happened. Pradeep had Rs 600 Rs with him and he was demanding Rs 200 more from his mother to buy a dog. When she refused, he killed her with the hammer.
Police Action
After the incident, Pradeep fled the scene. However, the police acted quickly and arrested him within 24 hours. His wife is still recovering from her injuries, and the police are continuing their investigation.
