Delhi Airport Apologises To Jammu-Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah After His Remark ‘Bloody Sh*t Show’ Against Flight Delay News24 –
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah shared an unpleasant experience with the Delhi Airport late at night on Saturday. Expressing his frustration through a social media post, Abdullah called the situation at Delhi Airport a ‘bloody shit show.’ The Chief Minister was traveling in an IndiGo flight, which was diverted to Jaipur, citing technical issues due to changing wind patterns and ongoing infrastructure upgrades.
“Delhi airport is a bloody shit show (excuse my French but I’m in no mood to be polite). 3 hours in the air after we left Jammu, we get diverted to Jaipur & so here I am at 1 in the morning on the steps of the plane getting some fresh air. I’ve no idea what time we will leave from here,” Abdullah wrote on X.

In a detailed response to the J&K CM on his post, the Delhi Airport clarified, “Dear Mr. Abdullah, as you may be aware, we’ve issued several advisories regarding the unseasonal changing wind patterns in Delhi. Runway 10/28 has been closed for ILS upgradation since 8th April, following consultation with all stakeholders and based on historical wind patterns.”
The airport further stated, “Additionally, the shift toward more easterly winds and the use of converging runways for easterly arrivals have led to temporary capacity constraints during this upgradation.” In a series of posts issued by the Delhi Airport’s official X handle, they informed that the above-mentioned conditions sometimes result in flight diversions to ensure passenger safety. “We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused,” they added.

Shivraj Chouhan Blasts Air India For Offering A ‘Broken Seat’
However, this is not the first instance when a political leader took to his social media handle to address some flight-related issues. Earlier in February, Former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan shared an unpleasant experience he had with Air India. In a social media post, the senior BJP leader raised concerns over the airline’s quality of service while highlighting issues with the seating arrangements and passenger inconvenience.
Chouhan, who had traveled on Air India flight AI436 from Bhopal to Delhi, said that he was allotted seat number 8C, but when he went to sit there, it was broken and sunken in. He was disappointed during the flight as, despite informing the airline, he was told by the staff that the ‘management had been informed earlier that this seat was not good and its ticket should not be sold’.
