Heavy Rain To Lash THESE States; Thunderstorms, Lightning And Gusty Winds Likely In Northwest India News24 –

IMD Weather Update: As the maximum temperature across several states is expected to hover between 40°C and 42°C, a further rise is anticipated in the coming days. Amidst the ongoing heat wave conditions, some regions will witness cloudy skies, light rain, and strong surface winds. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast intense downpour over Assam & Meghalaya from 22nd to 26th April and over Arunachal Pradesh until the 26th.

Heavy Rain Warning

IMD reported heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over the Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and heavy rainfall at isolated places over Rayalaseema, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura over the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, the Met Department predicted torrential rain to continue over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on 22nd & 23rd April.

Light Rain To Lash Northwest India

The current weather pattern is attributed to two active troughs extending from northwest Rajasthan to east Bangladesh and north Chhattisgarh to the Gulf of Mannar, respectively. Additionally, IMD has warned against an upper air cyclonic circulation brewing over northeast Assam in the lower tropospheric levels. Under its influence, Northeast India will receive light showers, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (speed up to 50 km/h) during the next 7 days.

Kerala, Tamil Nadu To Witness Downpour

Rain and lightning are also expected to hit Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Rayalaseema, Kerala & Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, and Telangana during the next 7 days. On the other hand, the Western Himalayan Region will be lashed by rain on 22nd April.
