Woman’s Body Found In Trolley Bag In Kolkata; Police Launch Probe News24 –

The Kolkata Police recovered a woman’s body from a trolley bag that was dumped on the roadside at Baguihati in the Northern Kolkata area. 

Locals spotted the trolley bag

According to IANS, the woman’s lip was sealed with brown tape. Locals spotted a dumped trolley bag in the area. A newspaper vendor saw the dumped bag. He consulted the matter with a senior citizen and they decided to inform the local police station. 

Police sent the body for postmortem

The cops rushed to the spot and opened the trolley bag. They found the body of a woman wearing a salwar and kurta. The police sent the body for postmortem. 

Cops are waiting for autopsy report

An investigative official said that they are waiting for the final autopsy report. He said it appears that the woman was murdered somewhere else, and her body was stuffed into a trolley bag and later dumped in the bag on the roadside. 

Police to examine CCTV footage

The official said that they are trying to establish the identity of the woman. He said they would examine the CCTV footage to get any lead in the incident.

Hyderabad: Decomposed body of woman found

In a separate incident, a decomposed body of a woman, estimated to be around six months old, was discovered inside DBR Mills in Hyderabad, police said on Monday.

According to the police, the age of the deceased is estimated to be around 25-30 years old.

“We received information that a decomposed, mostly skeletal, dead body of a woman was found inside the DBR mills. The age of the deceased female’s body is estimated to be 25-30 years old, and the decomposed body is about six months old. The case has been registered under suspicious death,” police said.
