Weather conditions across much of India are expected to vary in the next few days with varying temperatures, heat waves, warm nights and humidity affecting some regions, with regions in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan likely to see maximum temperatures gradually increase, while areas in east and central India should see a drop in temperatures.
Heatwave warnings have been issued for several states including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha. The Delhi NCR area is also experiencing generally high temperature levels with the minimum and maximum readings slightly deviating from the seasonal mean.

1. Gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 1-3°C likely over Punjab, Haryana Chandigarh & Delhi, Rajasthan during next 7 days.
2. No significant change in maximum temperatures likely over Uttar Pradesh and east India during next 2 Days and fall by 3-5°C for subsequent 3 days.
3. No significant change in maximum temperatures likely over Gujarat during next 3 Days and rise by 2-3°C for subsequent 3 days.
4. Gradual fall in maximum temperatures by 2-3°C likely over Central India except Madhya Pradesh during next 3 days.
5. No significant change in maximum temperatures likely over Maharashtra during next 24 hours and fall by 2-4°C for subsequent 6 days.
6. No significant change in maximum temperatures likely over rest parts of the country.

1. Heat wave conditions very likely in isolated pockets over Rajasthan during 25th April -01st May; Haryana during 25th -29th; Punjab during 26th April -01st May; West Madhya Pradesh during 25th-28th; East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, West Bengal & Sikkim, Odisha on 25th & 26th April.
2. Warm night conditions very likely in isolated pockets over West Rajasthan during 26th -29th; Odisha on 25th April.
3. Hot & humid weather is likely to prevail over Coastal Karnataka, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada on 25th; Bihar, Jharkhand, Tamil nadu Puducherry & Karaikal, Kerala & Mahe on 25th & 26th; Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Rayalaseema during 25th -27th; Gujarat State during 27thApril-01st May.
Past Weather In Delhi NCR
There has been rise in minimum and maximum temperatures up to 01°C over Delhi/NCR during the past 24 hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures over Delhi are in the range of 40 to 43°C and 20 to 23 °C respectively. The minimum temperature was below normal up to 01 – 02°C and maximum temperature was above normal up to 02 – 04oC over Delhi/NCR.
Predominant surface wind from the west direction with wind speeds less than 18 kmph prevailed during the past 24 hours. Mainly clear sky conditions with wind speed less than 12 kmph from the southwest direction prevailed over the region in the forenoon today.
