Woman Gang-raped By Three Men In Gopalganj District News24 –

A woman was allegedly gang-raped by three men in Bihar’s Gopalganj district. The incident took place near Sasamusa railway station under the Kuchaikote police station limits. 

Victim was returning to UP

According to IANS, the police said the victim was returning to Uttar Pradesh from her father’s village in Shyampur. She had gone to assist her father’s medical treatment, as he was suffering from paralysis. 

Accused gagged the victim’s mouth

The police further said that the woman went to get potable water from a hand pump and the three men approached her and gagged her mouth. They took her to an isolated place and took turns to rape her. The accused fled from the crime scene.

Locals alerted the police

The woman narrated her ordeal to her father. The locals alerted the police. The police rushed to the spot and took the victim for medical examination where the rape incident was confirmed. 

Police arrested one accused

The police registered an FIR and launched a manhunt to nab the culprits. The police held one of the accused who was identified as Abhishek Bind, a native of Kuchaikote. 

A senior police officer said that the victim’s statement has been recorded and efforts are on to nab the other two accused who are on the run.

Delhi Police bust extortion plot

In a separate incident, Delhi Police have busted a bizarre extortion plot where a man allegedly used his minor niece and a fake human thumb to demand Rs 5 crore from his acquaintance. Delhi Police said that three accused have been apprehended, including one juvenile in the case.

The case was registered on April 16 at Jagatpuri Police Station, invoking Section 308(5) of the BNS.
According to DCP Shahdra Prashant Gautam, the complainant reported receiving a suspicious parcel containing a threatening letter, a smartwatch, and a human-like thumb replica in a plastic box delivered by a young girl. Recognizing the gravity of the matter, a special team was constituted under the supervision of ACP VV and SHO Jagatpuri to crack the case swiftly.
