The terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir on April 22 shook the whole country. 26 tourists lost their lives in this attack, which included six residents of Maharashtra. Security agencies have taken up the investigation and are questioning the eye witnesses and others. Meanwhile, several videos related to the Pahalgam terror attack have surfaced that are also being investigated by the security agencies. One such video is an Instagram reel of Pune-based tourist’s daughter in which two suspected terrorists have been caught on camera.
Just four days before the attack, Sreejith Rameshan had come to visit Betaab Valley in Kashmir with his family. He had shot some videos of his daughter while making reels. When Rameshan paid attention to the video, he saw that two suspicious young men were visible in the camera in the background, exactly the same faces whose sketches were released by NIA after the terrorist incident. Srijit immediately handed over this video and photo to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The clip ascertains that the terrorists were present in the Betaab Valley, just four days before the attack.
Now with the help of these reels, the investigation agencies are engaged in getting big leads regarding the movement and identity the terrorists. A 15 seconds reel has become an important clue for the security agencies of the country.
‘Allahu Akbar Thrice, Then Gunfire‘
In another video shared on social media, a tourist on a zipline in the Baisaran Valley of Jammu & Kashmir, unknowingly recorded the moment a terror attack happened in Pahalgam. The tourist, Rishi Bhatt, claimed that the zipline operator shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ just before the terrorists started shooting at the tourists. In the viral video, Bhatt shared how he and his family were able to escape when the terrorists started shooting at the tourists. While talking to ANI, Rishi Bhatt shared the scary events that happened in Baisaran that day. He said he became suspicious of the Kashmiri man operating the zipline because he shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ three times, and then the shooting began.
“Nine people ziplined before me, but the operator did not utter a word. When I was sliding, he spoke, and then the firing started. So, I have my suspicions about that man. He said ‘Allahu Akbar’ thrice and then the firing started…He looked like a regular Kashmiri,” Bhatt claimed.
He said the shooting began while he was on the zipline, and after about 20 seconds, he realized it was a terrorist attack and people were being killed.
