Delhi Sees Slight Temperature Drop, Heat Wave Likely In Jammu And Rajasthan News24 –


India is facing diverse temperature trends and unpredictable weather patterns throughout the nation, with some regions in preparation for heat waves while others are seeing a gradual cooling of temperature. The recent forecast predicts Northwest, Central, and Western India will see a slight decline in maximum temperatures in the upcoming days while the remainder of the country will not see much change.

Heat wave conditions are likely in isolated areas of Jammu division, southwest Rajasthan, and at distinct times in parts of Gujarat, whilst the southern regions and coastal states including Tamil Nadu and Kerala, as well as Andhra Pradesh may continue to be hot and humid. In the Delhi NCR region, a slight fall in maximum temperatures, as well as near normal minimum temperatures. Meanwhile, Delhi NCR reported generally clear skies with very light southeasterly winds.

Temperature Forecast

1. No significant change in maximum temperatures likely over Northwest India during next 2 days and fall by 2-4°C for subsequent 5 days.

2. No significant change in maximum temperatures likely over Central & West India during next 3 days and fall by 2-4°C for subsequent 4 days.

3. No significant change in maximum temperatures likely over rest parts of the country.

Heat Wave, Warm Night And Hot & Humid Weather Warning

1. Heat wave conditions are very likely in isolated pockets of Jammu division, southwest Rajasthan on 30th April & 01st May and Saurashtra & Kutch on 30th April.

2. Hot & humid weather is likely to prevail over Tamil nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Rayalaseema, Kerala & Mahe during 30thApril-02nd May; Gujarat state, Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra on 30thApril & 01st May.

Past Weather In Delhi NCR

There has been a rise in minimum temperature up to 01°C and fall in maximum temperature up to 03 – 04°C over Delhi/NCR during the past 24 hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures over Delhi are in the range of 36 to 37°C and 24 to 26°C respectively. The minimum temperature was near normal and maximum temperature was below normal up to 02 – 04°C over Delhi/NCR.

Mainly clear sky conditions with predominant surface wind from the southeast/east direction with wind speeds less than 20 kmph prevailed during the past 24 hours. Mainly clear sky conditions with wind speed less than 18 kmph from the southeast direction prevailed over the region in the forenoon today
