Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Expressway Route
The construction of the Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Expressway will span from Deori village through Agra to Susera village near Gwalior. The Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Expressway project needs Rs 4613 crore to establish it according to PIB.
The highway extends from the Deori village in Agra across Uttar Pradesh then through Rajasthan before reaching the destination in Susera village Gwalior. Through the Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Expressway all transportation and logistics tasks between Agra and Dholpur and Morena and Gwalior will experience time and operational efficiency improvements.
The expressway extends across the National Chambal Wildlife Sanctuary as it travels between Agra and Gwalior. A new cable-stayed Chambal river bridge will be built to safeguard the habitat of the endangered ‘Gadiyal’. Sound barriers and light cutters form integral parts of the designed project.
According to PIB the Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Expressway project includes eight major bridges and 23 minor bridges and six flyovers and one Rail-Over-Bridge together with 192 culverts.
