Man’s Hand Severed After His Scooty Collides With Bus News24 –


A man’s left hand was severed after his bike collided with a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)-run bus on May 2 in Mumbai.

The incident took place in Andheri

According to PTI, the police said the 35-year-old man came under the wheels of the bus after his bike collided with it. The victim, Ismail Suratwala, was travelling on his scooty in the Andheri area. The incident took place around  9:30 am. 

Victim admitted to Holy Spirit Hospital

A senior police officer said the bus reached a signal, and the victim, who was travelling on his scooty, suddenly came from a bylane and hit the bus. In the incident, he fell down, and his left hand came under the rear wheel of the bus.  Suratwala, a resident of Mohammed Ali Road, was admitted to Holy Spirit Hospital for treatment. 

The police seized the bus, and a case has been registered.

4 killed as pickup van overturns in MP

In a separate incident, Four people died while 12 others sustained injuries after a pickup van carrying Baratis overturned in Madhya Pradesh’s Vidisha district, an official said.

The accident occurred near Aari Ghat under Lateri police station in the district at around 10 pm on Thursday. Sixteen people were travelling in the vehicle to attend a wedding ceremony in Sironj in the district of Indore from Mhow. While returning from here, the driver lost control and it overturned, the police added.

Three people died on the spot

Upon receiving the information about the incident, the police reached the spot and sent the injured to the hospital. Three people died on the spot and one more died on the way to the hospital. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Prashant Chaubey said, “A pick up van carrying 16 people overturned near Aari Ghat, Lateri at around 10 pm on Thursday, in which four people died and 12 others sustained injuries.”
