School Teacher Dies By Suicide In Nuh, Alleges ‘Continuous Harassment’ By Colleagues In 8-Page Note News24 –


Haryana: In a shocking incident that took place on Saturday in Haryana’s Nuh district, a school teacher allegedly died by suicide by consuming poison at a government secondary school. Upon receiving information, police arrived at the crime scene and found an eight-page suicide note. The teacher held her colleagues at the school responsible in the note. Serious allegations were levelled against at least eight teachers, Police said.

Jaipal Dies During Treatment

The deceased, identified as Jaipal, was a native of Majra village in Rewari, Haryana. He was employed as a junior basic teacher in the school, located at Khori Khurd village. According to reports, there was an ongoing conflict between him and a few other teachers over some kind of arrangements on the school campus. On Saturday afternoon, Jaipal was immediately rushed to a hospital after he consumed some poisonous substance. Unfortunately, he succumbed during treatment.

FIR Filed Against 8 Teachers

Following the incident, Sadar Tauru Police registered an FIR against the 8 teachers named in the suicide note who allegedly harassed him. According to the deceased, his colleagues have repeatedly abused him when he tried to correct some ‘irregularities’ in the school. Reports revealed that Jaipal had previously complained about the felling of trees on the school premises to the district administration and education department, however, no action was taken.

“Forced To Take His Life Due To Continuous Harassment”

The names of the eight teachers, as mentioned in the suicide note, included Suman Sharma, Jitendra Dalal, Ramesh Gera, and Mahender Sharma. Jaipal claimed that he was forced to take his life due to continuous harassment. HT quoted a spokesman as saying, “Police have lodged an FIR based on the suicide note. The body was handed over to Jaipal’s family members after the autopsy. The allegations levelled in the note will be examined by experts and action will be taken as per the law.”
