How 9 Terror Hubs Fueled Decades Of Attacks Through Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir News24 –

India’s Strike on Nine Targets today in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir were based on Intelligence collected over years. The intelligence indicated that these locations played a integral role in the overall spread of terror and insurgence into India. These locations actively supported terrorist operations in India- counter terrorism officials stated.

Markaz Subhan Allah, Bahawalpur 

Located at the Nh-5 Karachi Torkham highway, on the outskirts of Bahawalpur At Karachi Mor. The location was operational since 2015 and was considered to be an epicenter for the spread of terrorist agendas through training and indoctrination. The Markaz operated as a headquarters for JeM and was often linked to planning operations, it was also indicated that the Markaz was behind the attack of the Pulwama Attack. The location was also synonymous for being the residence of JeM chief Maulana Masood Azhar and Chief Mufti Abdul Rauf Asghar. Masood Azhar was often witnessed spreading Anti India agenda’s and persuading youth in the area to join such islamic force. Reports have suggested that the location was often used for conducting Physical  and religious training. 

Markhaz E Taiba , Murdike 

The Location is being dubbed as the main center of arms training and tactical exercises for youth extreme Islamic agenda’s. The location was synonymous for training recruits from Pakistan and outside Pakistan as well. The Location used to enroll close to about 1,000 students annually. Osama bin Laden had reportedly aided the construction of a mosque and a guest house at the location. Reports have further suggested that attackers that attacked Mumbai on the 26/11 attack were trained here. 

Sarjal Thera Kalan 

The location was located in Shakargarh Tehsil, Narowal District, the location operated from a PHC in Tehra Kalan Village. The location was located about 6 km from the International Border near the Samba Sector in J&K. The location was often used for conducting Tunnel Construction , Drone Operations and Smuggling of arms and ammunition. The site was overseen by Mufti Abdul Rauf Asghar. This epicenter of terror has been located in Shakargarh Tehsil , Narowal District Punjab Pakistan. 

Mehmoona Joya Facility, Sialkot

The location falls within the Bhutta Kotli Government BHU in head Marala, Sialkot District. The facility here was used to plan infiltration plans in to Jammu. Beyond that terrorism, operatives were trained herein weapon handling and terrorist tactics. The facility was commandeered by Mohammad Irfan Khan who had been a significant force behind multiple attacks that were targeted on Jammu Region.

Markaz Ahle Hadith , Barnala Bimbher 

The location stood adjacent to the Kotle Jamal Road on the outskirts of Barnala.  The location was reportedly used for planning and executing Infiltration operations into the Poonch -Rajouri -Reasi District. The facility could house close to 100-150 Cadres and function as an epicenter for constant attacks targeted towards India. Reports have suggested that terrorists such as Qasim Kahnda, Anas Jarar and Qasim Gujjar operated from the facility. 

Markaz Abbas Kotli 

 The Markaz was operated and led by Hafiz Abdul Shakoor- The location was considered to be big enough to easily house 100 – 125 JEM members  and serve as a hub for planning and launching Infiltration missions to the Poonch- Rajouri sector. 

Maskar Raheel Shahid, Kotli 

Considered to have been HM facility capable of housing about 150- 200 militants, the camp specialized in  arms training of insurgents and administering specialized survival skills on hilly terrain. One of the many site and operations centers that saw its last day on May 7th . 

Shawai Nallah  Camp , Muzaffarabad 

This LET camp was located near the Chalbandi Bridge on the Muzaffarabad- Neelum Road – and was active since early 2000. It was known for training and recruiting religious indoctrination, training in insurgency and weapon use training. The location was big enough to be able to easily house close to 200-250 insurgents and terrorists for operations targeting North Kashmir. 

Markaz Syedna Bilal

Located opposite Red Fort in Muzaffarabad, this is the JEM’s main center in Pok, The camp was used as a transit camp for militants prior to their infiltration into J&k. It Typically housed 50-100 operatives. The facility was headed by Mufti Asghar Khan Kashmiri heads. The facility was also used by Indian Fugitive Aashiq Nengroo and JEM commander Abdulla Jihad. It was also reported that SSG commandos of the Pakistan Army provide training at this center.
