Pakistan Targeted Jammu Airport, Satwari Cantt With Loitering Munitions; India Shoots Down Pakistan’s F-16 Fighter Jet News24 –

Pakistan targeted Jammu Airport, Satwari Cantt through drones on Thursday night. Blackout has happened across the city. Official sources said Satwari, Airport, Sunjuwan, Janipur, Chowadhi area were under attack from Pakistan.

Explosions can be heard as Indian air defence intercepted Pakistani drones in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir.

At least eight missiles directed from Pakistan at Jammu civil airport, Samba, RS Pura, Arnia and neighbouring areas were intercepted and blocked by Indian air defence system. According to TV Reports, India shot down Pakistan’s F-16, two JF-17 fighter jets and three Pak drones at back Gate of Jammu University.

A complete blackout has been enforced in Kishtwar of Jammu Division, and sirens are being heard throughout the district.

Heavy shelling from across the LOC was reported in Karnah Kupwara area of North Kashmir. Indian Army was giving a befitting reply.

The Pakistani Army also targeted Area’s around Sher-e-Kashmir Police academy and Army’s Northern Command. Indian forces activated all defence systems in Jammu and Kashmir.

A complete blackout has been enforced in Punjab’s Amritsar.

Pakistani drones intercepted by Indian air defence in Jaisalmer. Explosions can be heard, and flashes in the sky can be seen.

Meanwhile. US State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce said, “Secretary Marco Rubio spoke today with Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. The Secretary emphasised the need for immediate de-escalation. He expressed US support for direct dialogue between India and Pakistan and encouraged continued efforts to improve communications.”

In view of the current situation in the country, a control room has been set up by the Punjab Government.
